Sample interview · scripted synthetic speech
What made you start keeping a research notebook for your interviews?
I kept forgetting the small details. A notebook gave me one place to save questions and check what people actually said.
Before you bring a recording, open the sample interview. Play the audio, edit a paragraph, rename a speaker and download a file. You can inspect the review experience without creating an account or using minutes.
This is an original scripted demonstration with synthetic speech and prepared timing, not a customer recording or an automated recognition result. It shows the editing and export tools; it does not establish video transcription accuracy. Your changes stay in this browser and can be reset.
From recording to reviewed draft
A long recording needs a dependable handoff. The video transcription workflow keeps your file, its cost and the resulting document together, so you can return to the same project.
The filename becomes your project title. Before video transcription starts, the complete audio track is measured after upload. You see its duration and rounded minute cost before choosing to start. Optional names and spellings can help with specialist terms.
Uploading does not spend minutes. Confirm the complete file deliberately. Keep the page open during upload; after the processing task is safely created, you can leave and return through My projects.
Open the transcript beside its audio, make corrections and export your saved revision. Video transcription supplies a draft for your judgment; overlapping voices, names and unclear passages still deserve a listen.
Keep your attention on the conversation
Click into the text to write, select or correct it. Your cursor stays an editing cursor. A separate play control beside each timestamp takes you back to that passage, so selecting a sentence never unexpectedly moves the audio.
Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 are useful starting points, not guessed identities. Rename speakers once, merge duplicate labels or reassign a paragraph after listening. In a long video transcription project, find a recurring name, slow the playback and use short skips to check a difficult exchange without repeatedly searching the whole recording.
Suggested checks offer an optional route through numbers, dates and terms. Mark an item checked or skip it for later. These prompts are reading aids, not certified errors or a guarantee that everything else is correct. Video transcription is most useful when the original context remains easy to hear.
Save feedback distinguishes pending changes, a saved revision and a save problem. If saving fails, keep your draft, retry or download an unsaved text backup before leaving. A stale browser tab cannot silently replace a newer saved version.
One reviewed version
The value of video transcription continues at delivery. Export a saved revision in the format your editor, client or publishing workflow needs. Editing and exports do not use additional transcription minutes.

A lightweight copy for your notes, archive or writing workspace. Keep the conversation available without carrying document formatting into the next application.
Take timed text into a compatible player or video editor. Changed passages with uncertain timing need confirmation before subtitle download; document exports can still proceed. Video transcription does not burn captions into a video.
Made for the full conversation
An interview author needs the exact context around a quote. A podcast producer needs consistent speaker names across an episode. A freelance editor needs a document that can be handed over without repeating corrections in several files. Video transcription brings those tasks into one review surface.
Start with the best recording you have. A close microphone and clear turns make listening easier; distant speech, interruptions and background sound can need more manual work. This English video to text workflow focuses on recorded conversations. It does not translate speech or turn a transcript into a summary.
Know the cost first
Video transcription uses one credit per source minute, rounded up once per file, including silence. A 62 minute, 10 second recording uses 63 credits. Review the measured duration before starting. Monthly plans begin at $19 for 300 minutes; one-time packs begin at $15 for 180 minutes and last 365 days.
Annual video transcription plans are billed yearly and release minutes monthly. Invited trials are individually granted, not an automatic signup allowance. See all plans, renewal terms and credit rules on the pricing page.

Your video transcription projects are available through your signed-in account. Playback audio is retained for 30 days; transcripts, revisions and exports for 180 days. Delete a project from its settings to revoke access and request removal. Download important work before it expires. The data retention page explains source-file cleanup and the effect of deletion.
Read the retention policyNew uploads, recognition and payments are currently paused. The working sample is available without an account. Explore the editor and downloadable formats first; choosing a local file does not upload it while the service is paused.
The intended ceiling is 120 minutes and 5 GB per file. Large-file and maximum-duration support remain subject to operational validation before uploads open. A supported extension does not guarantee every codec can be read.
This workflow starts with a file from your device. Download a recording you have permission to use before beginning. Public video links, live meetings and screen text extraction are outside the current workflow.
No. Automatic speaker labels are neutral. You supply the names after listening, and optional spellings are recognition hints. Always verify quotations and personal details before sharing a transcript.
A confirmed processing failure releases the reserved minutes or restores an invited trial. An uncertain task or order is checked against its original record. Do not submit a second payment while its status is being checked; contact support from the billing page.
